Community Life Concepts Awarded A Community Grant

11/23/09

CLC is the recipient of the 2009/10 Fulton County Department of Human Services Grant and the F.R.E.S.H. Grant Award(Atlanta, Georgia).

For the second year in a row CLC has been awarded the Fulton County Department of Human Services Grant. The Human Services Grant Program is an annual, competitive process in which applications for funding are received, reviewed, scored, and ranked. Applications are then recommended for funding based on priority needs in the community and a pre-established grant budget.

CLC has also been awarded the 2009/10 Fulton County Department of Human Services F.R.E.S.H. Grant. This grant will assist in providing children in affordable multifamily housing communities the opportunity to attend summer camp.

Fulton County Government assures the provision of quality human services to all citizens of Fulton County. This remarkable task is accomplished in large part by contractual arrangements with non-profit agencies. The non-profit community is a vast network of agencies that deliver a continuum of services to general and special population. Non-profit organizations play a pivotal role in service delivery because they are generally community based, community focused entities. Fulton County relies heavily on the non-profit community to bridge the gaps in the Fulton County human service delivery system.

With this grant, CLC continues to "Make A Difference" in the lives of many individuals - one resident at time.
